T.O.N.Y. (Top of New York)

T.O.N.Y. is my newest instrumental album. This one is a cohesive but varied collection of tracks inspired by my second home of NYC, a place I'm wildly passionate about (if you didn't already know) and is one that seems to never get stale or overstay its welcome.

From the smooth vibe and grainy texture of "Draper the Don" coupled with the droning trumpets and riding cymbals of the mammoth "Towers" and the 70s nostalgia of The Stylistics-sampled "In for the Feel" alongside the beautiful key twinkles of "Once Again", Top of New York taps into a vibe I've been flirting with for some time now and one that's become sort of a signature sound - smooth, but warbled, refined but not quite polished, everything leaned and drifting slightly to the right.

The best way to describe it is like an old, still in commission, yellow cab - bending a Brooklyn block in search of its destination, forever searching yet always sure of where it's going. Sincerely hope you enjoy the ride.
