The latest beat tape from The Kid Flames, and the official sequel to his breakout solo debut Things Left On Purpose (The Paper Label, 2019) is a lush, sweeping, boom-bap tinged project steeped in emotion and finds the producer continuing to craft his decisively New York sound in an absolute masterwork chock full of dreamy keys, heart-tugging strings and dusty breaks.

Coming off his recent releases Golden Child, Reflections, and the summer-ready Tudo Sera Revelado (The Paper Label, 2023), the producer returns to his foundational sound, flanked by the bouncy single "It Didn't Occur to Me", the otherworldly "Five Boroughs" and the emotional burners "It Is What It Is" and "Again, Some Day".
An inherent darkness and sinister tone permeate the project, not dissimilar to its predecessor. Yet, there's a glimmer of hope placed every few tracks to directly juxtapose that bleak void, resulting in his most finely-drawn, nuanced and balanced project – a career-defining magnum opus.
